Bowes Dairy Produce was first started by Dave Bowes back in 1998 with the purpose of providing a quality and reliable milk delivery service using high quality dairy products to the people of Preston.

Dave started working as a milk boy for John Collinson at Hougher Fold Farm at the age of 14 assisting with the delivery of milk, collection of eggs and general farming duties. Purchasing his first milk round in 1998 covering Ribbleton, Plungington and Fulwood areas of Preston, building the service to supply to both residential and commercial businesses.

During 2019 when the pandemic hit, we received a high volume of new customers who needed a quality and reliable service to deliver daily dairy products direct to their homes due to the lock down regulations. We were extremely fortunate to be able to assist and build a loyal customer base who relied on the service during this unprecedented time. We found that the local cheeses became very popular with our customers, so we created our very first cheese box “The Lancy Box” in June 2020.
