The National Festival of Making - Black Town Centre

The National Festival of Making is a unique celebration of making, from the kitchen table to the factory floor.

Presenting a programme of work that combines Art, Manufacturing, Making and Communities, we commission international and national artists to create world class works, a year round programme and a participatory FREE FAMILY festival for all to enjoy.

Expect a weekend packed with things to do for all ages, including both bookable and drop-in making workshops, art and industry commissions, artisan craft and local food producers marketplaces, community embedded projects, curated makers markets, celebratory music and performances plus much more across Blackburn town centre.

Southport Airshow

Amazing Air Shows are as much a part of the traditional summer seaside experience as fish and chips, and our show is back on July 13 and 14 - and with FREE tickets for under-16s it's now better value than ever.

What could be more exhilarating than a day on the prom or beach with family and friends watching the power, speed and grace of the skilful pilots and their machines in the skies above

Great Ecclestone Show

The Great Eccleston Show is a two day event and is a showcase for every aspect of rural endeavour.

 The Great Eccleston Show is a two day event and is a showcase for every aspect of rural endeavour and the whole range of crafts and skills associated with the country. With cooking, handicraft, horticulture and local arts, this north west agricultural show is a big attraction to townspeople and country folk alike. We have classes for Shire horses, sheep, pigs and poultry, light horses, goats, tractor-pulling and a ‘companion’ dog show. Traditional rural crafts can be seen alongside the latest in agricultural technology.

At the Great Eccleston Show you’ll find marquees displaying everything from fruit and flowers to cakes, cheese and chutneys, a big food hall featuring local produce along with a food theatre, demonstrations of traditional rural craftsmen at work, sheep herding, sheep shearing, bee keeping, a aVictorian fun fare, stunt riders, Cumberland wrestling, Memory Marquee and lots more – there really is something for everyone.

The Fylde area is home to many of Britain’s top breeders and the cattle, sheep, horses, goats and poultry appearing at Great Eccleston are some of the best in the country, and the produce on display is second to none

Maker Market - Preston

Join us on the second Saturday of every month for an abundance of the North West's finest makers, bakers and creators.

Expect an an array of art, craft, food, drink, coffee, music and street food.

Royal Lancashire Agricultural Show

The Royal Lancashire Show will be held at Salesbury Hall, Ribchester and is a fabulous celebration of our great British countryside and a great family day out.

The three-day show celebrates agriculture, farming, food, local crafts, showing, show jumping and much more.  

The army are once again supporting the show this year and are parachuting in for impressive army weapons, machinery, vehicles, inflatable military obstacle course and climbing wall.  

The children’s village is bigger and better than ever.
