November 2026 – Where to Find Us 🧀🎄

November is nearly here… and that can only mean one thing – Christmas market season is about to begin! 🎄🧀

We're heading into one of our favourite (and definitely one of our busiest!) times of the year. The gift boxes are coming out, the Christmas markets are filling the diary and we're getting ready to take a LOT of cheese on the road.

Throughout November you'll find Bowes Dairy popping up across Lancashire, Cumbria and Cheshire – from our regular university visits and local Makers Markets to some of our favourite festive events of the year.

So, whether you're starting your Christmas shopping, planning the first festive cheeseboard of the season or just looking for an excuse to stock up on cheese, here's where you can find us this November…

 

🎄 Friday 6th – Sunday 8th November 2026

Holker Winter Market

📍 Holker Hall, Cumbria

We're kicking off November with a whole weekend at the beautiful Holker Winter Market!

This is always a lovely way to start the festive season, with Christmas shopping, fantastic independent producers, delicious food and plenty of festive atmosphere.

We'll be bringing a stall full of Lancashire cheese, flavoured favourites and plenty of goodies perfect for those first Christmas cheeseboards.

Although if you buy it for Christmas and eat it by Sunday night, we're not judging. 😂🧀

 

🎓 Thursday 12th November 2026

Lancaster University

📍 Lancaster University, Lancaster

We're back on campus!

We'll be bringing plenty of cheesy goodness to Lancaster University for students and staff to stock up on their favourites.

Perfect for lunch, an evening snack or taking home for the weekend.

And yes, buying several cheeses because “Christmas is coming” is now a completely valid excuse. 🎄🧀

Preston Flag Market – The Makers Market

📍 Flag Market, Preston

We're back in the heart of Preston for another Makers Market!

Expect a brilliant mix of independent makers, artisan food producers and plenty of tempting things you didn't know you needed until you saw them.

We'll have the Bowes Dairy stall loaded with cheese, so pop over for a taste, say hello and get stocked up for the weekend.

Warning: sampling cheese may result in accidentally going home with a bag full. 😉

Warrington Christmas Market

📍 Warrington

While part of Team Bowes is busy in Preston, the rest of us are heading to Warrington for a full weekend of Christmas festivities!

The Christmas shopping season will be well and truly underway by then, and we'll be bringing plenty of cheese along for the occasion.

Whether you're shopping for Christmas gifts, planning a festive cheeseboard or simply fancy treating yourself, come and find us.

Because socks are useful… but cheese is a much better Christmas present. 🧦❌ 🧀✅

Hello again, Lancaster! 👋

We're back at Lancaster University with another load of cheesy goodness.

If you've discovered a new favourite on one of our previous visits, now's your chance to come back for more – or be adventurous and try something completely different.

Revision fuel? Weekend supplies? Midnight cheese-on-toast emergency?

We've got you covered. 🧀😂

Marriott Hotel

📍 Broughton, Preston

We're staying nice and local for this one and heading to the Marriott Hotel at Broughton.

We'll be bringing along a selection of our cheeses and festive favourites, perfect for getting a head start on a little Christmas shopping.

Come over, have a chat and pick up something tasty.

You could even buy some cheese as a present.

Whether it actually makes it as far as the intended recipient is another matter… 👀🧀

Great Eccleston – The Makers Market

📍 Great Eccleston, Lancashire

Sunday market day!

We're heading to Great Eccleston for another brilliant Makers Market filled with independent traders, artisan food and plenty of lovely things to discover.

We'll have lots of Bowes Dairy favourites with us, so come and say hello, have a taste and get your cheese supplies sorted.

Sunday lunch followed by an afternoon cheeseboard?

We fully support this decision. 😂🧀

Longridge Does Christmas

Now we're talking… Longridge Does Christmas! 🎄✨

We'll be joining the festivities for an evening of Christmas shopping, local businesses, market stalls and plenty of seasonal cheer.

It's the perfect opportunity to start ticking a few names off that Christmas shopping list – particularly the difficult people who “don't want anything.”

Everybody wants cheese.

Problem solved. 🧀🎁

Lancaster Christmas Market

📍 Lancaster Brewery, Lancaster

IT'S THE BIG ONE! 🎄🎄🎄

One of our favourite weekends of the year – Lancaster Christmas Market at Lancaster Brewery.

We'll be there for all three days with the Bowes Dairy stall absolutely packed with cheese, Christmas treats and gift ideas.

It's a fantastic festive weekend with loads of brilliant independent businesses, food, drink and Christmas shopping – and it's always one we look forward to.

Come hungry.

Ulverston Dickensian Christmas Festival

📍 Ulverston, Cumbria

Yes… we're in two places at once again! 😂

While one Bowes Dairy team is busy at Lancaster, another is heading north for the fantastic Ulverston Dickensian Christmas Festival.

For one weekend, Ulverston steps back in time with traditional stalls, entertainment, costumes and a brilliant festive atmosphere throughout the town.

We'll have plenty of cheese with us – although we're not promising to arrive dressed as Charles Dickens.

The cheese is traditional enough. 🎩🧀

 

Christmas, Here We Come! 🎄🧀

November is going to be a BIG month for Bowes Dairy, and we can't wait to get started.

Christmas markets, local events, familiar faces and, of course, an awful lot of cheese – what's not to love?
