Saturday 10th May - 10am-4pm / Preston Makers Market - Preston Flag Market
Head on down to Preston City Centre for a gathering of stalls like no other. Pick up delicious local goodies ranging from decadent cakes and handmade breads to an array of cheeses and locally distilled Gins.
As well as a mouth-watering assortment of foods, the market also hosts crafters of all varieties, making it the perfect place to pick up a treat for yourself or gifts for loved ones.
Sunday 11th May 12 noon - 4pm / Picnic in the Park Chorley
From 12noon to 4pm attendees can enjoy lots of free entertainment with ‘through the decades’ themed music acts on the event stage, walkabout acts, dancing, a chance to learn circus skills and stalls from local cadet groups and military regiments. Paid activities will include facepainting and wooden fairground rides.
All are welcome to bring a blanket, pick a spot and enjoy a picnic on the lawns in front of historic house Astley Hall. A variety of food and drink will be available to purchase on the day.
Picnic in the Park will conclude Chorley Council’s programme of commemorations for the 80-year anniversary of VE (Victory in Europe) Day.
Saturday 24th - Monday 26th May / Chipping Steam Fair
Steam engines, vintage tractors, cars, bikes, commercial vehicles, classic plant and machinery.
Funfair, artisan market, arena, children’s entertainment and live music until midnight on the weekend.
This is a charity event run by volunteers, all proceeds go to local charities and good causes.
Sunday 25th May / Ormskirk Food & Drink Festival
The huge, free Ormskirk Festival returns on Sunday 25th May after a successful inaugural event last August! Featuring food and drink stalls, market stalls, live music and more, the free event is taking place on Sunday 25th May from 11am in Ormskirk town centre and is family and dog friendly — with something for everyone.
