Saturday 7th June / 10am-4pm / Accrington Food & Drink Festival

An amazing day of food, drink and free attractions including a D-Day commemoration war reenactment is in store as the Accrington Food & Drink Festival. 

Last year saw 10,000 visitors enjoying the sunshine and entertainment.  The food festival's main cooking demonstration area will be headlined by TV and Michelin Star Chef, Glynn Purnell, demonstrating how to recreate a Michelin worthy dish at home.

Attractions are on offer across the town centre including the main cooking demonstration area, continental market, food, drink and craft stalls, fairground rides, and the Accrington Market pods on the town square.  There will be plenty on offer to eat and drink as you relax and take in the goings on. 

 

Saturday 14th June / 10am - 4pm / Marker Market Preston Flag Market

Preston Makers Market takes place on the second Saturday of every month in the historic Flag Market right in the cultural hub of Preston, by the Harris Museum and Art Gallery. Join us to discover a diverse range of unique, high-quality products crafted by local small businesses.

 

Saturday 28th June / Grimsargh Field Day

Grimsargh Field Day is an annual event which takes part in the heart of the village of Grimsargh. It starts with a procession from the village hall and reaches a jam-packed green, full of things to do and see.

Cast your eyes around the green and you will see a plenty, sights to fulfil all your senses. There will be the crowning of the new Rose Queen by the retiring Queen, a dog show, food stands, craft stalls, live bands and singers, birds of prey displays, dog agility, a fun fair and much, much more.

The day is organised by a small committee, greatly helped on the day by plenty of locals, who turn up come rain or shine.

 

Saturday 28th & Sunday 29th June / Fylde Vintage Steam & Farm Show

The Fylde Vintage, Steam & Farm Show 2025 promises a delightful blend of nostalgia and rural charm. Enthusiasts can revel in a vast display of meticulously restored vintage machinery, including steam engines and classic vehicles, transporting visitors to a bygone era. The event showcases the region’s agricultural heritage, featuring farm equipment and livestock displays. Attendees can enjoy live demonstrations, tractor pulls, and traditional crafts, immersing themselves in the essence of rural life. Family-friendly activities, delicious local food, and lively entertainment ensure a memorable experience for all, celebrating the timeless allure of vintage, steam, and rural traditions.

 

Saturday 28th June / Makers Market Preston Friargate

The Makers Market now also takes place on the newly-revitalised Friargate Brow, on the final Saturday of each month.

Head on down to Preston City Centre for a gathering of stalls like no other. Pick up delicious local goodies ranging from decadent cakes and handmade breads to an array of cheeses and locally distilled Gins.

As well as a mouth-watering assortment of foods, the market also hosts crafters of all varieties, making it the perfect place to pick up a treat for yourself or gifts for loved ones.

Don't miss the next market, complete with music and plenty of places to put your feet up and grab a drink when you're done.

 

Sunday 29th June / RescueFest 2025 / Walton Hall Liverpool 

A huge, free animal rescue festival is coming to Walton Hall Park in Liverpool on Sunday 29th June 2025! RescueFest is being organised by People’s Animal Welfare Society to help raise money for rescue animals and will feature dog shows, many different animals, talks, demonstrations, street food, artisan markets, a fun fair and more!
