Country Fest 2024 - Crooklands
There are lots of opportunities to be involved and take part in a wide range of competitions and classes.
The organisers of Penwortham Gala are celebrating being able to bring back the traditional procession to this year's event.
The Gala, which runs over two days in June, is primarily focused on events and stalls on Hurst Grange Park , with a procession along Pope and Cop Lane having kicked off events on the Saturday for many years.

Grimsargh Field Day
Grimsargh Field Day is an annual event which takes part in the heart of the village of Grimsargh. It starts with a procession from the village hall and reaches a jam-packed green, full of things to do and see.
Cast your eyes around the green and you will see a plenty, sights to fulfil all your senses. There will be the crowning of the new Rose Queen by the retiring Queen, a dog show, food stands, craft stalls, live bands and singers, birds of prey displays, dog agility, a fun fair and much, much more.
The day is organised by a small committee, greatly helped on the day by plenty of locals, who turn up come rain or shine.

St Annes Carnival
Join us in the picturesque Ashton Gardens for the 102nd St Anne's town carnival. Each year we welcome approximately 10,000 visitors to the town over the weekend. We are searching for local to area stallholders of arts, crafts, food, drink and other suitable family-friendly stalls in the main centre of activity, Ashton Gardens.
Friday 28th June 2024 - 7pm to 10pm
St Anne's carnival weekend begins with a concert in the gardens showcasing local talent with headliners, the shivers and our ever popular fairground.
Saturday 29th June 2024 - 10.30am to 10pm
Saturday morning begins with our community parade at 10.30am which winds its way through the main streets of St Anne’s before finishing at Ashton Gardens.
In the afternoon, the Carnival Queen will be crowned in the main arena and then a full programme of entertainment.
Saturday evening's concert in the gardens will feature local talent, followed by the headline act, The Casinos until 10pm.
Sunday 30th June 2024 11.00am to 4.30pm
Sunday is our community/family day which begins with fun dog competitions, children's games and then an afternoon of varied entertainment for all the family, concluding around 4.30pm.

This is a great family day out with a wide range of entertainment, historical and agricultural interests.
