Clitheroe Food Festival is a family-focused event in the heart of Ribble Valley. The first Food Festival back in 2011 attracted fifteen thousand visitors, resulting in the general public voting it third place in Lancashire and Blackpool’s Tourism Awards for ‘Best Tourist Event 2011’.
The festival, run in partnership with Ribble Valley Borough Council and the kind sponsorship of many local businesses, has increased in popularity by several thousand visitors in the last few years and has also been listed in the Top Ten UK Food Festivals by Eventbrite.
After a successful return in 2022, this year’s festival is back, bigger and better than ever! Featuring quality food and drink from around 100 exhibitors, a feast of family-friendly fun, and a dollop of street entertainment. You are certain to witness the community spirit of this stunning area.
During the festival the town centre is taken over by food and drink stalls, run by businesses handpicked from across the county, sampling and selling their wares with food-related entertainment. The streets are abuzz with live music, street food, as well as children’s entertainment on the Castle grounds.
The streets of Clitheroe are alive with summer festival fever; come and celebrate Lancashire’s culinary excellence.
Held in an idyllic unspoilt setting, the show represents a window on today’s country life.
